The Team
Bob McKay
Co Owner and Director
Bob began programming at the tender age of 8 years old when he created a simple animation for his classes display in the assembly hall. It took him a week to do and read "We are the 3rd Year" over and over again. Happily things have moved on since then. Bob studied 'Computer Science' and 'Engineering with Computing' at college and University. In his spare time, he turned a tidy profit building and selling budget PCs. A few years later ( about 14 years ago), while working as a software beta tester for GE Lighting, he became interested in the newly emerging "World Wide Web" and began creating websites for friends in his spare time.
In 1998, along with two friends, he started "threemedia" - a graphic and web design agency. Their unique blend of professional graphic designs on top of well programmed frameworks placed them in great demand, primarily from London based businesses. In 2002 when the 'dot com bubble' burst in the UK and work became scarce, Bob was offered position as the I.T. Manager for the global "USA PRO" clothing brand which he took, gracefully disbanding threemedia (but maintaining a working relationship with his former partners that continues today).
After a move to the British Virgin Islands in 2005 to work for Dougal Thornton Associates (with whom Bob maintains an excellent working and personal relationship), he became a director and I.T. & Web Developer for Fresh Mango Technologies.
Fiona McKay
Office Manager & Designer
Fiona has worked part time throughout her schooling and university career in jobs ranging from Restaurant Supervisor to International Credit Controller at Caterpillar Logistics Services.
She is well travelled and before heading to university carried out volunteer work in Quito, Ecuador, teaching English in a secondary school and working at an orphanage. It was during her year abroad that she picked up her penchant for Spanish, which she then went on to study at university. Her university career took her to Granada, Spain, where she lived and studied translation for a year.
In 2005 Fiona moved to the BVI and became Listing and Licensing Manager for BVI Yacht Sales as well being in charge of marketing which sparked her interest in design. Over the last three years she has developed her design skills and now has several websites in her portfolio.
With the knowledge that she would soon be co-developing Fresh Mango Technologies Ltd. she decided to take a course in business studies at The Open University, which covered an introduction to business, data, computing and information modules.
